  1. You will find the Acrobat serial number in file license.txt.

  3. Acrobat™ tools:  all available Acrobat™ Readers may be found under the Acrobat 
  4. folder.  Search for the reader which applies to your platform.  
  5.  
  6. Macintosh (Adobe Acrobat Search for CD-ROMS):
  7. In folder ACROBAT:V2:DISK1, double-click the ACROREAD.MAC icon.  
  8. System requirements: Macintosh computer with 68020 or greater processor;  
  9. Apple® System Software version 7.0 or greater; 2MB of application RAM; 
  10. 2X CD-ROM drive.

  12. Windows (Adobe Acrobat Search for CD-ROMS):
  13. You may try both methods for installation below.  Method 2 is shorter,
  14. but may not always work; Method 1 does a disk installation, then an Acrobat
  15. installation"

  17. METHOD 1:
  18. From the Windows Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu, type 
  19. (YOUR CD-ROM DRIVE LETTER):\acrobat\v2\win\setup.exe and press Enter. 
  20. After the installation files have been transferred to your hard drive, choose 
  21. Run from the File menu and type c:\acrosrch\disk1\setup.exe.  
  22. METHOD 2:
  23.  Execute \acrobat\v2\win\disk1\ setup.exe
  24.  
  25. System Requirements: 386- or 486-based personal computer (486 recommended); 
  26. Microsoft™ Windows 3.1 or greater; 4MB of RAM; 2X CD-ROM drive.

  28. DOS (without Search): 
  29. 1. Make the CD-ROM drive the default drive.  If you are using drive d:, 
  30. type d: and press Enter.  If you are using drive e:, type e: and press Enter.
  31. 2. Type cd \ACROBAT\V1\DOS and press Enter.
  32. 3. Type install and press Enter.
  33. Minimum system requirements: 386-based personal computer.  Recommended 
  34. system requirements: 486 or above. DOS version 3.3 or greater; 2MB of application 
  35. RAM (4MB recommended); 5MB hard disk space; 2X CD-ROM drive.

  37. UNIX Sun and HP (Adobe Acrobat Search for CD-ROMS):
  38. Become superuser (root account); Mount the cd on /cdrom
  39. Then type: cd /cdrom/acrobat/v2/sun_hp. Read the file INSTGUID.TXT.
  40. System requirements: Sun™ SPARCstation® workstation; Solaris® workstation; 
  41. Solaris® 2.3, 2.4 operating system software; SunOS™ version 4.1.3, 4.1.4; 
  42. Hewlett Packard HP-UX 9.03 & above; 8MB of application RAM; 14 MB hard disk space; 
  43. 2X CD-ROM drive.

  45. UNIX SGI (without Search, Version 2.1)
  46. Become superuser (root account); Mount the cd on /cdrom. 
  47. Then type: cd /cdrom/acrobat/v2/sgi2_1. 
  48. Read the file install.txt.
